Improved
Change to Credit Limit Hierarchy
about 1 year ago by William Stewart
What you need to know:
- We have changed how we decide what credit limit to apply for a debtor
- Manual overrides now have priority over Insurer limits
- Insurer limits have priority over the calculated DCL
- When promoting a client, you will now only be able to carry over the highest priority limit
We have changed the priority of manual overrides and insurer limits when calculating the credit limit for a debtor.
Previously, the order was:
- Insurer obtained limit
- Manual override
- Calculated DCL
We have changed this to:
- Manual override
- Insurer obtained limit
- Calculated DCL
The following new fields have been added to client export:
- AppliedLimitType - This is the type of limit ('Limit Override' / 'Insurer Limit' / 'DCL' ) that is applied to the debtor
- LatestInsurerLimit - This is the amount of the latest insurer limit. It may not necessarily be the applied limit (e.g. if there is also a limit override)
- CoverEndDate - This is the expiry date of insurer limit
- LatestOverrideAmount - This is the latest manual override amount
- ManualOverrideEndDate - This is the expiry date of the manual limit override
- IsOverrideFlaggedForRemoval - Overrides are flagged for removal when requests for cover are made to our insurers. When an insurance decision is made, these flagged overrides will be removed
- LatestDclAmount- This is the amount of the latest DCL that has been calculated (It may not necessarily be the applied limit)
